We are the Theta Sigma Chapter of Alpha Phi! Located in beautiful Cedar City, we are the largest Greek organization on the Southern Utah University campus. We pride ourselves on maintaining the highest ideals and achieving academic excellence. Our main focuses are Service, Scholarship, Sisterhood, leadership, loyalty and character development our 6 values!

 

Theta Sigma wishes our graduating seniors congratulations! Thank you for your impact on our chapter and know that where ever you go Alpha Phi will be there to support you!

 

 

 

In The Past Year...

 

The  women of Theta Sigma have worked so hard this year and we are glad to say it has paid off in so many ways! Here are a few of our accomplishments;

 

-Recipient of The Order of the Lamp from Alpha Phi International for over all excellence as a chapter

 

-Top Greek GPA on campus

 

- #1 in Greek Service hours

 

- Organization of the Year 2009

 

-Above the SUU All-Women's GPA for two years running

 

- 12 women from Alpha Phi were initiated into Gamma Sigma Alpha, a greek Academic Honor Society

 

-25% of our chapter was on the Deans List the past semester

 

-Kathleen Mcdowell received The Michealean Award for her dedication as our amazing Chapter Advisor

 

-Timian Yoshimoto (former President), received Female Contributer of the Year

 

-Raquel Roldan (former President) was awarded the Sterling R. Church Involvement Award

 

 

   A Message From the  President...

Let me be the first one to welcome you to our amazing website for the Theta Sigma Chapter of Alpha Phi.  We are located on the beautiful campus of Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah.  Alpha Phi is an amazing organization that has been in existence for over 135 years.  This website is designed for visitors to learn more about us, our values, and the sisterhood we have shared since our founding. 

 

Theta Sigma has been on Southern Utah University’s campus since 1995, and since that time we have definitely made our mark.  The ladies of Alpha Phi are known as classy women who share common values among each other, and never let our standards fall short. Each month we focus on an event that makes us stronger as sisters, another event that promotes our Philanthropic efforts, and another event that allows potential members to see what Alpha Phi is like.  As women in Alpha Phi, we know and are proud of our diversity.  We have women majoring in every subject from communications to business to criminal justice and accounting.  We have members on sports teams, dance teams, leaders in religious organizations, and so many more.

 

Alpha Phi is one of the largest women's fraternal organizations in the world, with over 200,000 initiates and 150 collegiate chapters. To us, Alpha Phi is more than just an organization of woman. Alpha Phi is a home in the college environment and a group you call family. Alpha Phi provides a bond that unites a circle of friends hand to hand and heart to heart. Alpha Phi has had a bigger impact in my life than any other organization has.  It was the greatest decision of my life and I am so happy that I can call all these wonderful ladies my sisters.  From the time I joined, to where Alpha Phi is now, is a definite change.  We have been growing and becoming a stronger organization.  I have not only met some of the greatest women, but I have also met some of my best friends.
